I must have been extremely bored in math class, for suddenly, while the teacher was explaining unknown factors, this idea popped into my head, and I immediately started scribbling out the rough version of what would later become this comic. I guess what I was thinking was that the name "Xemnas" reminded me of something, and I couldn't put my finger on it until I was bored enough to explore it a little. Isn't it funny where your mind goes if you let it? Then I showed it to the person next to me, and I still remain amazed that the teacher didn't catch either of us laughing.

Anyways..... I decided to play up the friendship between Axel and Roxas a little, because I don't think we see the friendship part enough in fanart. Mostly we see Axel/Roxas yaoi, and while I'll tolerate it, I thought it'd be nice to show more of a big brother/little brother relationship, which I imagine is closer to the true one.

This is also a bit of a parody of my brother with his friends. They'll be standing around with sodas in their hands, and suddenly, one of them will say something completely random, like "Ska shoes", and they all start laughing. Meanwhile, I'm standing there, wondering what the hell they're talking about.

Axel, Roxas, and Xemnas all belong to Square Enix and Disney. Yeah.

Whoa- I went on for a bit there, didn't I? Leave a comment if you laughed.

EDIT: Yes, I am quite aware of Xemnas's OTHER anagrammic nickname- the one that starts with "M". It's the one Roxas refers to in panel 3. Hee hee.

I got the same feeling when I first heard Xenmas' name.
Maybe Xenmas is really Santa!
Or he isn't really [insert name here]'s nobody but Sandy Claw's!

Ha!! Ok, that was funny! It's a nice extra touch that Xemnas doesn't get it at all. And you're right, there isn't enough art showing Axel and Roxas's freindship. The youi bugs me anyway, and the whole brother ish thing seems funnier. Bood art too. ^^

Hee, hee! Brilliant. :D

Yeah, I prefer them this way. More "brother" like, (Riku and Sora are better that way, too.) rather than what more than half the DeviantArt community portrays them. ^^;

Anyhow, really didn't see that coming. XD Great job, there!
